We spent time creating a visual design and user experience which was perfectly suited to the Electrical Showroom’s products and perfectly showcased the
unique, high-tech product range on all devices. Having launched the new site, we immediately implemented a digital marketing strategy involving SEO, Adwords PPC, social media and content marketing, which drove £50k in revenue in the first month of trading – a figure that has risen continually in the months since!
The Electrical Showroom has been one of our most successful ecommerce projects in terms of its performance from a complete standing start. The site trades under a separate brand from R&M Electrical’s established business, so had no prior brand reputation, no previous customer base – and R&M Electrical had no previous experience of digital retail.
To start with literally nothing and be pushing almost £1-million in revenue in the first year is pretty good going by anyone’s standards. They are currently moving to a dedicated ecommerce warehouse from which to run this new, expanding arm of their multi-national business.
